Ariana Grande Just Broke Her 4-Month Social Media Silence to Tease New Music

by - May 07, 2018

Ariana Grande has been absent from social media since December 31, 2017, when she signed off and told fans she’d see them again in the new year. On Tuesday, the singer resurfaced — seemingly to tease new music that could be out by the end of the week......

Grande first took to Twitter to tweet just a single teardrop emoji, followed shortly thereafter by a brief note that said, “missed you.” After letting her fans freak out over the return for a bit, she then dropped a cryptic message of upside-down text that read, “No tears left to cry.” It was accompanied by the numbers “4.20,” AKA Friday, April 20.
The singer also posted the words across an Instagram update, her first since her New Year’s Eve signoff, accompanied by a clip of what sounded like a new song in progress.

Grande wasn’t the only one getting in on the cryptic tweet action. Her brother Frankie and mom coordinated similar tear-drop tweets, as did the “Dangerous Woman” singer’s manager, Scooter Braun.
Grande hasn’t released any new music since her Dangerous Woman album in 2016. After a traumatic suicide bombing took place at her Manchester concert in May 2017, the singer took a brief break before continuing her tour, wrapping up in September with an emotional message to her fans. Needless to say, the Arianators are ready.
